At National Velour Corporation, we have been serving the packaging industry for more than 40 years. We work with general and custom specifications for creating velvety smooth or suede flock material inserts for all sorts of packaging. Common applications include inserts for eyeglasses cases, novelty gifts such as champagne flutes and goblets, and jewelry boxes. Our specialty flocked packaging material is often used to add visual interest and texture to cases as well as to keep items safe from damage.

Because of our knowledge and expertise, we were recently contracted to create flock substrates for a company needing specialized flock packaging material. These unique materials are designed to be used for custom decorative boxes and can be custom slit and sheeted per customer requirements. Using our electrostatic flocking machine, we created the flocked materials using several substrates. The substrates we used included:

• Board
• Polyethylene
• Vinyl
• Polypropylene
• Styrene
• Polyester
• Paper
• And non-woven materials

We combined all substrates with flocking materials of polyester, nylon, rayon and acrylic fibers. The finished dimensions ranged from 0.003″ to 0.060″ in thickness and ½” to 66″ in width, featured custom colors and a soft, suede-like look to rich velvet feel finish.

We completed the entire project in just three to four weeks, and it highlights our long history of supplying goods and services to the specialty packaging industry.
